Designing your own piece of jewelry is a very special experience. At DiamondsByMe, you have the chance to create a truly unique piece that exists nowhere else. Our custom design service makes your visions a reality. Together with our experienced designers, you will develop a draft that perfectly reflects your personal style. In this creative process, we accompany you step-by-step to bring your vision to life through precise craftsmanship. This results in a piece of jewelry that corresponds exactly to your wishes.
STEP 1: DISCUSS YOUR IDEA WITH ONE OF OUR EXPERTS
The first step toward your custom-made piece of jewelry is the consultation with our experts at DiamondsByMe. Together, we clarify your vision to create the perfect design. To start, you can simply send us a sketch or sample photos that are close to your ideas. Our designers use these inspirations to create a draft that exactly meets your wishes and requirements. During the consultation, we go into detail to gain a clear picture of your ideas. We discuss, for example, the choice of precious metals, the type of gemstones, or whether you would like to bring your own stones. Details such as the width of the ring shank or a personal engraving are also included in the planning. As soon as all details are finalized, you will receive a quote from us before our goldsmiths begin the manufacturing of your unique piece.
STEP 2: VISUALIZE YOUR DESIGN IN 3D
Once you have confirmed the quote, our specialized designers will create a 3D model of your piece of jewelry. This 3D rendering shows you even the finest details of your draft in the desired materials. The final price is based on the time required by our designers to create your draft. You will receive the 3D drawing via email within approximately 8 business days. This 3D rendering is a crucial step in the process, as it gives you an exact idea of what your jewelry will look like. Take sufficient time to review the draft and let us know if you have any change requests.
STEP 3: TEST YOUR PIECE OF JEWELRY WITH A REPLICA
If you are satisfied with your draft, you have the option to request a replica of your jewelry. We then create a detailed 3D print—a gray plastic model in your exact size. With this prototype, you can examine, feel, and try on your design comfortably from home before placing your final order. This ensures the ring has exactly the proportions you desire. In this way, you don't just experience the look, but also directly test the wearing comfort. Any adjustments can still be made easily at this point before our goldsmiths begin the production of your real piece of jewelry.
STEP 4: THE MASTER GOLDSMITH CRAFTS YOUR PIECE
Following your final approval, our experienced master goldsmiths begin the production of your piece of jewelry. With the greatest care and precision, they bring your unique design to life. We keep you updated throughout the entire process. Should there be any unexpected delays, we will, of course, coordinate with you immediately. The manufacturing process may take longer than the usual 12 business days—for example, if we are ordering a special gemstone or if you have opted for a laser engraving. Naturally, we do everything we can to complete your jewelry on time and will inform you about every single step.
STEP 5: YOUR UNIQUE PIECE OF JEWELRY
The final step is receiving your personally crafted piece of jewelry. Our team packs your jewel by hand with the greatest care. Along with your jewelry, you will receive a hand-signed certificate with all important details, such as the precious metals used as well as the type, number, and quality of the stones, and a GIA quality certificate for diamonds from 0.3 carats. As soon as your package is shipped, you will receive a tracking code from us so you can follow the delivery online.
